CM meets Union Ministers, discusses development projects

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 5 : Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and his cabinet colleagues have met ten Central Ministers in Delhi and discussed various development projects in the state.

An official release here today said Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad discussed with the Chief Minister about various developmental projects.

The projects included upgradation of Regional Cancer Centre- Thiruvananthapuram- to the status of National Cancer Centre, setting up of Drug Testing Laboratory for Ayurveda in Kerala, setting up of Trauma Care Centres, creation of Burn ICU in Kerala, establishment of AIIMS like institution in Kerala, setting up of new Dental Colleges at Alapuzha and Thrissur, PMSSY in the Government Medical Colleges, and Programme for Distribution of Free Generic Drugs.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his cabinet colleagues, including Aryadan Mohammed, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, K P Mohanan, Anoop Jacob, K C Joseph, Adoor Prakash and V S Shiva Kumar.

Chief Secretary Jose Cyriac, Secretary to Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, Resident Commissioner-Kerala House New Delhi Gyanesh Kumar, and Additional Resident Commissioner Biswanath Sinha were also present in the meetings.
