Rabi crops area crosses 631 lakh hectares
New Delhi, Mar 1 : The Crop Weather Watch Group of Agriculture Ministry on Friday released the sowing figures for major rabi crops.
The rabi crops have been sown in 631.67 lakh hectare as compared to 629.86 lakh hectare last year and 619.9 lakh hectare sown on average in the last five years.
While wheat has been sown in approximately the same area as last year, there has been improvement in area under coarse cereals, pulses and oilseeds.
