Mumbai, Feb 27 : Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt. Ltd. on Wednesday said it has won a closely fought multi-broadcaster pitch to showcase all domestic and international cricket played in New Zealand until 2020.
Pitch International, New Zealand Cricket's exclusive international broadcast and sponsorship agents managed the sales process.
Coming right on the back of securing the broadcast rights for the Asia Cup, this deal ensures a consistent presence of cricket on the Neo network for the rest of the decade. New Zealand Cricket is the latest addition to Neo's ever growing basket of premium sporting content which includes a strong portfolio of cricket, football, tennis, hockey, badminton and golf.
With India scheduled to tour New Zealand in February 2014, Neo's cricket line up for 2014 now includes 2 major events / series involving India.
The 7-year deal includes 261 days of live cricket including 18 T20s, 63 ODIs and 36 Tests and includes rights for all of Asia excluding Middle-East. The coverage will begin on March 6th with New Zealand hosting England who are currently placed 2nd in the ICC Test Rankings, in a three match Test series.

New Zealand has been the venue for some stellar cricket and memorable performances and we look forward to showcasing more of these in the years to come."
Cricket in New Zealand has always been exciting because of its testing conditions and unpredictability and has kept viewers enthralled in the past series.
It has also been the venue for some memorable innings by the Indian stalwarts.
In fact, the last India tour to New Zealand in 2009 got amongst the highest average ratings for any away tour by India in the recent years, including tours to Australia, England and South Africa.
Expect plenty of marquee action over the next 7 years with two India tours in 2014 and 2019; a Trans-Tasman rivalry double header with Australia in 2016 and 2018; and England being hosted thrice in 2013, 2018 and 2020.
