Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 25 : Additional posts will be created in those police stations in which the Janamaithri Police Project would be newly implemented, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said today.
Inaugurating the state level Janamaithri security project here, Mr Chandy said five posts each will be created in those police stations in which the project is to be implemented.
Janamithri Project that was implemented in Kerala is being adopted by other states as well, he said, adding, it has become a model for other states.
He said it is better to avoid those circumstances that lead to a crime rather than intervening in it after the same has been committed. The contribution of Janamaithri police is highly commendable in this regard, he added.
Ministers Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, V S Sivakumar, M A Vahid MLA, DGP K S Balasubramaniom, ADGP B Sandhya and others were present.
