Egypt: 18 killed in hot air balloon crash
Luxor, Egypt, Feb 26 : At least 18 tourists, including British, French, Hong Kong and Japanese nationals, were killed when a hot air balloon caught fire and crashed at Luxor city in Egypt on Tuesday, reports said.
According to reports, the balloon was flying at 1,000 ft (300m) when it caught fire and crashed to the ground.
21 people were travelling in the balloon.
"Three people -- two Britons and the pilot -- are hospitalized," CNN reported.
Egyptian government spokesman Alaa Hadidi said he was forming a technical committee of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to know the reasons for the crash, EgyNews reported.
