Rohini court shootout: 2 detained
New Delhi, Feb 20 : The Delhi Police detained two men for allegedly shooting at a murder accused inside the Rohini Court Complex in Delhi on Wednesday.
"Two unidentified assailants shot at Neeraj from a close range while he was being taken to the courtroom for a murder case hearing," said a lawyer, who was present at the spot.
One of the constables escorting Neeraj was also injured.
Both of them were hospitalized soon after the shootout.
Neeraj is facing trial for allegedly murdering a girl.
His lawyer BS Rana told media that he suspected the girl's family members shot at Neeraj to take revenge.
