New Delhi, Feb 19 : After a Delhi Police constable was arrested for allegedly trying to access the details of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley's call records, more men were held, reports said on Tuesday.
According to reports, two arrests were made since Monday and they were identified as private detectives.
A total of four arrests were made in the case.
Earlier, Constable Arvind Dabas who was held by police for trying to procure the call records of Jaitley claimed he wanted the records for personal reasons.
"Dabbas used the login and password of an assistant commissioner of police to try and access the call details. However, Jaitley's call records were blocked after the request was sent," a news channel reported.
The BJP earlier demanded an answer from Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on the matter.
"We demand from the Home Minister that he must come clean and tell the nation who ordered this," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told reporters.
"This is unauthorised tapping. We are taking the matter seriously and we will raise the issue in Parliament," he said.
The incident reportedly happened last month.
