New Delhi, Feb 18 : A Delhi court on Monday said it will hear arguments on Mar 7 on whether to summon Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde in connection to a defamation case filed against him for his Hindu terror remark last month.

Metropolitan Magistrate Amitabh Rawat took on record all evidences submitted in connection to the case so far before fixing the date for hearing the argument on Mar 7.

Shinde had sparked a major row on Jan 22 when he said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ideological patron Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) promote Hindu terrorism in India in their training camps, inviting some angry reactions from the parties he blamed.

"On one hand we are trying to restore peace in India and looking into injustices on minority or stopping infiltration while on the other hand the training camps of BJP or RSS are looking after promotion of Hindu terrorism in their camps," Shinde had said, speaking at the Congress Chintan Shivir (Brainstorming Conclave) in Jaipur.

Later when pressed for clarification, he told media that what he said is nothing new but had come out in media many times.

External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid had also backed the Union Home Minister for his remarks on 'Hindu terror' and said they were based on 'facts'.
