With Jody Lukoki, captain Siem de Jong and Derk Boerrigter as forwards, Ajax had no difficulties and won 2-0. Niklas Moisander and Christian Eriksen scored in the first half, while RKC's Robert Braber penalty was saved by goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer in the second part.
