Pakistani soldier crossed LoC: Pak army
Islamabad, Feb 15 : The Pakistani army on Thursday said one of its soldier unintentionally crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and traversed into Indian territory.
Reports on Thursday said the soldier lost his way on Thursday afternoon and ended Indian land.
He was spotted in the state of Jammu and Kashmir after crossing the LoC in Khoi Ratta sector, media reports said.
The Pakistani government and the authorities in charge are since then in contact with Indian counterparts to have the soldier returned to his country.
The incident comes in when both countries have indulged in trading new charges of firing and ceasefire violations along the 742-km Line of Control.
On January 8 two Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistani troops near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector. One of them was beheaded and his head was apparently carried away by the attackers.
The incident had sparked a furore in India and a souring of fragile ties between the two nuclear-armed neighbours who have fought three wars since gaining independence.
