Two jeweller brothers killed in Delhi car crash
New Delhi, Feb 14 : Two jeweller brothers were killed and their sister was injured when a car they were travelling in crashed into a stationary bus here early Thursday, police said.
Jewellers Dheeraj Gupta, 38, and Mohit Gupta, 38, both cousins and residents of north Delhi's Mall Road area, died in the accident that took place around 1 a.m. in north Delhi's Kashmere Gate area while they were returning from a marriage ceremony, police said.
Their sister Gunjan Gupta, 35, was injured.
"Prima facie, it seemed that the car was being driven at a very high speed and the driver, Mohit, could not control the vehicle and crashed into the bus," sad a police officer.
Sunil, the driver of the Punjab Roadways bus involved in the accident, was arrested for illegally stopping the vehicle on the road for picking up passengers and causing the accident, police said.
