BSE Sensex extends gains
Mumbai, Feb 13 : The BSE Sensex rose 0.24 percent on Wednesday as IT stocks rallied following an optimistic forecast for the industry.
The 30-share benchmark index ended 47.04 points higher at 19,608.08 with 13 of its components closing in the green.
The broader 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index ended 0.18 percent or 10.45 points higher at 5,932.95 on Wednesday.
Software services exporters gained after National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) estimated 12-14 percent growth for the industry in 2012-14.
Meanwhile in the New Delhi bullion market, gold recovered by Rs 10 to Rs 30,800 per 10 grams while silver also rebounded by Rs 150 to Rs 58,000 per kg.
