Chandrababu Naidu crosses 2,000 km walkathon
Guntur, Feb 12 : Telugu Desam Party president and leader of the Opposition in the Assembly N Chandrababu Naidu crossed 2,000 kilometers padayatra today.
He achieved the feat in 134 days disregarding pain in ankle and ill-health.
Mr Chandrababu stated that he started Padayatra on October 2 in Ananthapuram and he has covered two cities, 107 towns and 915 villages. He is at present continuing his Padayatra in Guntur district.
Addressing a huge gathering at NTR circle here today, he assured auto drivers to provide interest free loans, if the TDP is voted to power.
Stating petrol and diesel prices had been hiked for 29 times during the past nine years, he said the prices of commodities were spiraling as the government had failed to take steps to contain them and at the same the income of the common men not increased.
Attributing the severe power crisis in the state to the wrong policies and mismanagement of the government, he alleged that the government came to power by making free power assurance to the farmers, but the power generation and distribution systems collapsed in the state.
He called upon youth not to be misguided and surrender to small pecuniary benefits while casting their votes and not to spoil their carrier by electing wrong persons.
