Kozhikode, Feb 12 : Resident doctors under the banner of Kerala Medical Post Graduates Association (KMPGA) today threatened to go on a state-wide token strike on February 14 and intensity it to an indefinite action if their demands were not met immediately.
Talking to newspersons here, resident doctor and coordinator K R Rahul and others said they would go on the token strike if their demands, including revised tuition fee, were not met by the government in the cabinet meet scheduled for tomorrow.
He said only 650 resident doctors out of 2400 were provided with government accommodation despite the order to stay in the hospital premises.
Revised stipend, pay scales and maternity benefits were some of the other demands.
