CBI appoints K K Goyal as new public prosecutor in 2G scam case
New Delhi, Feb 12 : CBI today appointed K K Goyal as new public prosecutor in 2G scam case.
A K Singh was removed from the case following the CD which contains secret conversation between Singh and Unitech Managing Director Sanjay Chandra in which Singh is revealing the prosecution strategy to Mr Chandra to derail the 2G scam case.
Delhi Bar Council has also said that action shall be taken against Singh if the allegations were found true.
Singh was withdrawn from the case after CBI received anonymous CD.
CBI Director Ranjit Sinha was today quizzed by JPC on the issue of alleged collusion between the CBI prosecutor and the accused.
CBI has already informed the Supreme Court, CVC and Union Law Minisry about the developments.
CBI claimed that the removal of Singh shall make no difference to it in 2G scam case.
