New Delhi, Feb 12 : The Supreme Court today orderedre-counting of votes in 2008 Assembly elections which Union Minister C P Joshi had lost by one vote.
BJP candidate Kalyan Singh Chauhan was declared elected from the seat.
The election was challenged by Mr Joshi on the grounds that his demand for re-counting of votes was wrongly rejected.
Allowing the appeal of Mr Joshi, the apex court directed Election Commission of India (ECI) to re-count the votes polled in 2008 in the concerned constituency.
