BJP demands action against Yasin Malik
New Delhi, Feb 12 : The Bharatiya Janata Party today demanded action against JKLF chief Yasin Malik for his visit to Islamabad where he shared stage with 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Hafiz Saeed at an event organised to protest Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's hanging.
The BJP also criticised the Centre over the issue.
''The BJP condemns the inaction of UPA government in preventing Yasin Malik to stage an anti-India demonstration under the banner of JKLF in Pakistan,'' BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said at a press conference here.
The BJP leader said the stage was used by Malik and others for their vitriolic attack against India.
''And to rub India on the wrong side Yasin Malik invited Hafeez Saeed, head of LeT, the main conspirator behind killing of 156 people and injuring 302 in 26/11 Mumbai attack, to use his stage for anti-India propaganda,'' Mr Javadekar said.
He demanded that the Indian government immediately cancel Malik's travelling documents and ensure a proper censure on his ''anti-India activities'' in future.
