Rahul to visit Nagaland on Thursday
Kohima, Feb 12 : AICC Vice-president Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Nagaland on February 14 to campaign for February 23 state Assembly elections.
He will address two meetings at Tuensang and Mon.
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) general secretary (Admin) Medokul Sophie, who has been appointed as the overall
NPCC Coordinator for the entire Assembly elections, told UNI that Mr Gandhi would arrive at Dimapur, from where he would go to Mon by helicopter to address a Congress rally.
After the meeting Mr Gandhi will go to Tuensang to address another rally. He will return to New Delhi on the same day.
Defence Minister A K Antony will arrive in Nagaland on February 16. He will arrive at Pfutsero town under Phek district of Nagaland by helicopter, where he will be
addressing a public meeting at Local Ground, PfÃ¼tsero Town.
After addressing the rally at Pfutsero, the highest town of Nagaland, Mr Antony will go to Tripura.
Union Minister for Home Affairs Suhil Kumar Shinde is scheduled to arrive in Nagaland on February 18 and is supposed to address two meetings at Jalukie under Peren district and another at Khonoma village under Kohima
However, his programme is yet to be finalised by the Home Ministry, Mr Sophie said.
