Nuke whiff in North Korea quake
Seoul, Feb 12 : The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has detected seismic activity in North Korea, which could indicate that Pyongyang has carried out a third nuclear test.
A 4.9 earthquake with its epicentre just 1km deep was detected at 11.57am Korean time on Monday and it could be a nuclear test, South Korean news agency Yonhap said.
North Korea is not prone to seismic activity and epicentre was close to the country's known nuclear testing facility, said reports.
However, the fact about the test cannot be ascertained.
