Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 11 : A meeting related to the doubling of railway track at Alappuzha was convened by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at his chamber in Assembly.
Electricity Minister Aryadan Muhammed, Industries Minister P K K unhalikutty, Panchayat Minister M K Muneer, other officials and contractors were also part of the meeting.
It was decided to take the soil for the project by using vehicles having GPS and Geo referencing facilities. The public can also observe the procedures by using Public domain facility and soil will be taken considering the security norms, Mr Chandy said.
He instructed the Collector to reduce the time period allotted for the same. It is for the right utilization of the fund that such a decision was taken, he added.
He also instructed the Collector to take action on the petitions received related to NOC within three weeks.
