Grenade thrown at Cambodia dance party injures 14
Phnom Penh, Feb 10 : At least 14 people were injured when a man threw a grenade at a dance party in Cambodia, Xinhua reported Sunday.
The attack took place around 9.15 p.m. Saturday in Takrey village in Battambang province, about 300 km from the capital Phnom Penh, said Gen. Por Vannak, chief of the provincial military police.
"They were all villagers who were dancing to celebrate the Chinese lunar new year when an unidentified attacker threw the grenade," he said.
Three of the injured are in critical condition.
The police official said it was not a terrorist attack, but rather a result of a dispute among the villagers.
