South Club win BTA league title
Kolkata, Feb 10 : Calcutta South Club lifted the B.T.A League title defeating arch rivals Calcutta Gymkhana Club 2-1 in the finals played at Calcutta Gymkhana Club here on Sunday.
Sourav Panja pairing with Ram Kumar of South Club defeated Sanjib Kerketta and Tapan Halder 6-0 , 6-1, but BTA's Arup Mallick and Rajiv Vimal restored parity with triumph against Md.Sarfaraz and Anwar Ali 6-2, 6-4.
In the decider South Club's Tejvir Singh Bhandar and H L Bhandari beat A.S.Rastrawar and Krishanu Dey 7-5 , 6-3 to lift the BTA League tittle.
