Aero India-2013 opens for public
Bangalore, Feb 9 : The Indian Air Force Station, Yelahanka was abuzz with people on Saturday, the first day opened for the general public.
People gathered here to witness a glimpse of the amazing display in the skies during the 9th edition of Aero India-2013 organized by Defence Exhibition Organisation under the Ministry of Defence from Feb 6-10.
Many of them said that it's a once in a lifetime chance to watch some world's finest aircrafts in a single day.
Nationals from other countries also enjoyed the show.
"We have watched many such displays around the world but Aero India is certainly one of the best shows of metal weird," said A Paul, a citizen of UK.
Viewers shared their satisfaction about the thrilling display of multiple aircrafts and helicopters which made them to forget long walk and strict security checks to reach from the entrance to the spectator's zone.
"From the parking, I have walked more than a kilometer," said BS Shettar, who came here with his entire family.
"But for this magnificent show and thrilling exhibition, I walked many kilometer without any pain," he said.
"My tiredness was gone to see this breathtaking event," said Nalini Rani, a spectator from Bangalore.
The highlight of the day's display was the much-awaited Su-27 Russian Knights team, who stole the show with their awesome manoeuvres that enthralled the public.
The other aerobatic display included the ALH, LCH, LCA Tejas and 'Sarang' of Indian Air Force and Flying Bulls of Czech Republic and F-16 from the US.
