Four men held for raping a teenage girl in warora

Nagpur, Feb 8 :A 16-year-old girl, who is a labourer, was allegedly raped by four people in Warora here under the jurisdiction of Rajura police station , near Chandrapur district of Maharashtra today, police said.

The accused were identified as Manoj Rangari (23), Sayeed Chaus (24) Amar Chaus(20)and Javed Chaus(21),all residents of Gadchandur.

The incident took place at around 3 pm on Friday. The victim is a labourer and the main accused is Manoj Rangari who first induced the victim promising to tie the nuptial knot with her many a time and allegedly raped her.

Meanwhile, the victim was pregnant with two months and whenever she reminded the accused of his promise to marry her, he went on avoiding telling her that first she should miscarry the child and then he would marry her. However, the accused did not keep his promise and today he forced the girl to satisfy his other three friends who allegedly raped her.

Rajura police arrested the accused and a case under sections 376(g) and 312 of IPC has been registered .Further investigation is on.
