New Delhi, Feb 8 : The Planning Commission has agreed for extending of Lower Dudhna Irrigation Project in Maharashtra by two years, without any increase in the project cost.
The project which has already been granted investment clearance will be completed in the financial year 2014-15 and Plan accounts to be closed by March 2015.
The project may be executed as per the approved outlays in the State Annual Plans. The State Finance Department would restrict the expenditure to the approved cost and no additional expenditure beyond approved cost may be permitted unless the revised estimate is got approved following the prescribed procedure.
Any further revision in the cost of the project shall debar it from Central Assistance/AIBP funding, an official release said today.
