Chandrasekharan murder: RMP demands apology from CPM
Kozhikode, Feb 8 : The Revolutionary Marxist Party, a breakway faction of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala today demanded an apology from the latter for its 'role' in the murder of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan here last year.
Talking to reporters here, RMP Secretary N Venu and wife of the deceased leader K K Rema said CP (M) leader M M Mani indirectly had admitted his party's role in the murder.
They said in a recent speech at Orkkattery in the district Mr Mani had said the political violences in the senstive locality of Onchiyem were part of the defensive action taken by the party.
Such a fiery speech was delivered aimed at encouraging the 'criminal elements' in the party, which they said has become 'facist' and to provocate further attacks on the RMP activists, they said.
The RMP would rally all democratic forces against the 'criminal-facist' by that party, they said.
On the recent campaign launched against the sex scams, including Suryanelli rape case, by the CPI (M) and its feeder outfit the All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA), they said these organisations were not sincere in their efforts.
'In fact, they are backing the hunters and not the prey,' the leaders added.
