DMK warns attackers of Khushboo's house
Chennai, Feb 8 : The DMK Friday warned of strong action against those who attacked the house of actress and party member Khushboo.
In a statement, the DMK said a group was trying hard to create confusion among leading lights of the party but failed in its plot to force Khushboo's exit, and as a result attacked her house and threatened her children.
The statement dismissed news reports that Khushboo has been sent out of the party.
Khushboo, thanking her fans and friends for their support, tweeted: "I have always emerged a winner and will do so even now. Thanks."
Khushboo's house was attacked following an interview she gave to a Tamil magazine, in which she repeated the party line that the general council would decide on the next leader of the DMK.
Her views apparently enraged DMK workers owing allegiance to M.K. Stalin, party treasurer and son of party chief M. Karunanidhi.
