Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 7 : The Kerala Assembly was adjourned today when women MLAs from the Opposition benches rushed towards Speaker G Karthikeyan's podium in protest against
the government's denial to suspend the police officials, who allegedly manhandled MLA E S Bijimol.
MLAs K K Lathika, K S Saleekha, P Aisha Potti and Jameela entered the Speaker podium.
They were provoked when Chief Minister Oommen Chandy announced a judicial inquiry into the issue and sought the cooperation of the Opposition to sit and watch the visuals of the police action, in which the MLA was allegedly manhandled yesterday.
