Akhilesh Yadav expands UP Cabinet
Lucknow, Feb 7 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav expanded his Cabinet as he inducted 12 new ministers on Thursday.
Yadav also inducted Vinod Kumar Singh whose name emerged last year in the Gonda Chief Medical Officer (CMO) abduction case.
Singh was dropped from the state government following the incident.
The new ministers, including Rajendra Chaudhary, Pawan Pandey and Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, were sworn in at a function at the Raj Bhawan here.
" I congratulate the new ministers," Yadav told media.
Pertinently, this is the first expansion of Akhilesh Yadav's ministry after coming to power last year.
