92-year-old becomes Britain's oldest woman to get a tattoo
London, Feb 7 : A great-grand mother in Britain has become the oldest woman in Britain to get a tattoo at the age of 92.
Winifred Turner's tattoos include one for husband Jim, who died at the age of 89 three years ago.
Their initials are inside two hearts on one arm with "Miss you, Win" and the date he died on the other.
And an inked bracelet with the initials of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren spells out "Grana".
Rob 'Spider' Ridland, 27, her tattooist at Urban Image Tattoo Studio in Bournemouth, asserted that he is impressed as to how she handles the pain a lot better than some of the younger people, as he has seen men pass out before.
"It's nice to see older people coming in as some still have a bad opinion of tattoos and think they are for thugs and criminals," he said.
