PETA slams Beyonce for Super Bowl leather outfit
London, Feb 7 : Following her spectacular Super Bowl appearance, Beyonce has found herself on the end of some disappointed words from animal activist group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
The organisation sais that the singer "missed the mark" when it came to backing humane fashion by sporting a leather Rubin Singer bodysuit which was made of python, iguana and cow skin for her much-lauded performance, the Telegraph reported.
"We would take a bet that if Beyonce watched our video exposes, she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits or other animals who died painfully," a spokesperson for PETA told the New York Daily News .
They said that today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and the R and B singer's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score.
PETA also remarked on the black fur Dior coat Beyonce wore when she sang at President Obama's inauguration.
