Vodafone, PAYBACK in strategic partnership

Mumbai, Feb 7 : Vodafone India, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, has joined PAYBACK, India's largest multi-brand loyalty program, as its exclusive partner in the telecom category, the company said on Wednesday.

Announcing the association at an event just before the 6th Loyalty Summit in Mumbai, PAYBACK stated that its members will now be able to redeem points for a Vodafone recharge as well as avail the Vodafone Bill Pay facility using PAYBACK points.

Vodafone customers, on the other hand, will get the opportunity to be part of the exclusive PAYBACK program that enables them to earn and redeem PAYBACK points in more than 50 in-store and online partners brands of the program.

PAYBACK is one of the and fastest growing multi-brand loyalty programs in India. The program is growing every year with millions of active members in the PAYBACK network.

Rahul Rana, Chief Operating Officer, PAYBACK India, said, " The telecom sector has seen the fastest growth rates in the last decade. Given the compelling need to create differentiated customer offerings in the hyper-competitive Indian telecom environment, we strongly believe that we can use our experience and learnings in loyalty to drive value for Vodafone and its subscriber base."

Since the soft launch of the product offering in Nov 2012 there have been 500-700 point redemption orders per day, already, said Vodafone.

Expressing his delight on the partnership, Bjas Murthy, Associate Director, Voice Products, Services and CVM, Vodafone India said, "With changing dynamics and intensifying competition in the telecom sector, we realized that we need a robust loyalty program that will help us enhance customer trust, provide meaningful brand differentiation and tailor offers in light of new customer needs."
