Player management key for Proteas
Cape Town (South Africa), Feb.5 : Proteas strength and conditioning coach Rob Walter has said that the players will put in some "cricket time" during the 10-day break between the first and second Test matches against Pakistan.
Having secured a 211-run win over Pakistan at the Wanderers, the South Africans will return to their respective homes for a week of rest.
They will meet up in Cape Town on February 11th to begin preparations for the second Test match.
Walter said each of the players, especially the bowlers, have been given specific schedules for the week.
This includes gym strength and conditioning programmes, Sports24 quoted Walter, as saying further.
The main challenge for the Proteas' management will be keeping the players, especially the bowlers, fresh for the back-to-back second and third Test matches.
