NYC woman sues yoga class after employee pleasures himself next to her
New York, Feb. 5 : A woman from Upper West Side, has filed a lawsuit claiming that she was meditating after her regular yoga class when she opened her eyes and discovered a maintenance man at the studio pleasuring himself two feet away from her.
Her suit against Equinox said that after Keiko Herskovitz saw the man masturbating, she was quick to respond "What are you doing?"
According to papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, the man quickly covered himself with a yoga blanket and ran out of the room in the alleged incident that happened on January 26, the New York Daily News reported.
Herskovitz, 55, complained the incident to the Equinox club, Pure Yoga West's manager, who promised to "look into it."
But about an hour later, Herskovitz spotted the maintenance man and pointed him out but the manager failed to act.
Days later, the suit alleges, that Herskovitz got an email from management referring to "that incident that happened with our maintenance associate" and assuring her that management was taking it seriously.
But Pure Yoga did not report the matter to police but Herskovitz did, and police are now investigating, her attorney, Eric Creizman said.
Creizman said that he is investigating whether "this has happened before" adding that his client is "very shaken up."
