Hyderabad, Feb 4 : Andhra Pradesh Congress Commiittee (APCC) General Secretary G Niranjan today alleged All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen Chief Asaduddin Owaisi did not have the courage to speak truth and was trying to misguide the people to save his brother.
In a statement here, Mr Niranjan said, "It is unfortunate on the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi celebrations at Yellareddy in Nizamabad district, Mr Asaduddin Owaisi, attempted to misguide the masses by saying that Kiran Kumar Reddy's government in the state is trying to curtail the freedom of speech of minorities and trying to take revenge on his political adversaries'.
"A responsible Parliamentarian representing most sensitive constituency in Hyderabad should not have made use of this platform for his political ends and make such irresponsible statements to disturb communal harmony," he said.
