Jodhpur, Feb 4 : As many as 10,000 more constables will be recruited in the Rajasthan Police later this year, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced here today.
Speaking at a function after laying foundation stone for the upcoming Sardar Patel Police University here, the Chief Minister said the Director General of Police had been directed to ensure the recruitment process by March or April later this year.
As many as 8,000 constables have already been inducted in the state police fleet, he said, adding the recruitment would not only provide employment avenue to youth but also strengthen further the state police force.
Minister of State for Home Virendra Beniwal and several dignitaries were present.
