Fencing work of proposed nuke plant begins in Haryana
Chandigarh, Feb 4 : The atomic power plant being set up at Gorakhpur in Haryana will be known as 'Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojna' and it would be set up over an area of 1503 acres.
This was stated by an official spokesman on the launch of setting up a wire fence around the land acquired for the project at village Kajalhedi.
The work would cost about Rs two crore and would be completed in four months. The total area of the project is 18 sq kilometers and includes land of villages of
Gorakhpur,Badopal and Kajalhedi.
He said after completion of putting wire around the land, a boundary wall of concrete would be erected at a cost of about Rs 18 crore.
The samples of soil had been taken from the spot where the power plant is to be built. The construction of the project would commence only after receiving the report from the laboratory.
