Bangalore, Feb 4 : Leader of the opposition in Karnataka Assembly today described the Governor's address to the joint session of the state legislature highlighting the performance of the ruling BJP government as a'bundle of lies'.
"The ruling BJP has utilised the Governor's address to highlight facts which are far from truth," he added.
Talking to reporters here, he countered the claim of the government on the sound financial position by stating that the debt burden of Karnataka had increased to Rs 120,000 crore as against Rs 59,000 crore five years ago.
He said that only two hours supply of power in the rural areas shows how the State government is lying by claiming to have added 4596 mw of power during its rule. 'If the claim of generating additional power was true there should have been supply for atleast 12 hours,' he added.
