Hyderabad, Feb 3 : Karnataka emerged as the champions of the National Deaf Twenty20 Cricket Championship that concluded at Gymkhana Ground here today.
Batting first, the eventual titlist posted 119 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Mohammad Saad top scored with 38 even as S Pradeep put the skids with a three-wicket haul.
Kerala batsmen found the chase tough against some sustained bowling by Chethan Bhovi, whose 4/20 clinched the issue. They were shot out for 107 to lose the summit clash by 12 runs.
Earlier, the match, which was top start at 9am, began only after the lunch session.
Brief scores: Final: Karnataka 119 for 8 in 20 overs (Mohammad Saad 38, S Pradeep 3/25) bt Kerala 107 (Chethan Bhovi 4/20).
