Solicitor-general Rohinton Nariman resigns
New Delhi, Feb 4 : Solicitor-general of India Rohinton F. Nariman, has resigned from his post, reports said on Monday.
The exact reason behind the resignation is not clear but reports quoting sources said he and law minister Ashwani Kumar had major differences.
Nariman took charge in July 2011 after his predecessor Gopal Subramanium quit office.
After the attorney-general, the solicitor-general is the most important legal officer in the government.
