Mancini tempted to cheer for rivals Man U during latter's showdown with Real Madrid
London, Feb 3 : Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has said he is tempted to cheer for Manchester United in their upcoming showdown with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in Spain, because he hopes that United will be distracted by that encounter.
The Manchester City boss hopes the league leaders will be distracted by their Champions League showdown with Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid.
He feels it will boost City's title hopes if Alex Ferguson's men can continue in the competition for a few more rounds yet.
Praising Real Madrid players and their history, the Manchester City boss said he is aware of its might, and added that Manchester United would need all their strength to beat the Spanish football giants.
Mancini said that City is not worried, even with their Sunday's match against Liverpool, and added that the club has a much lighter workload for the remainder of the season, with only the Premier League and FA Cup to occupy their thoughts.
