Ex-First Dog Barney Bush dies at 12
Washington, Feb. 2 : Former President George W. Bush's beloved, 12-year-old Scottish Terrier Barney died on Friday after suffering from lymphoma, it has been announced.
"Barney was by my side during our eight years in the White House. He never discussed politics and was always a faithful friend. Laura and I will miss our pal," CBS News quoted Bush as saying in a statement.
Along with his statement, the 66-year-old former politician released a picture of an oil painting of Barney that the former president painted himself. The painting is signed "43."
