Women WC: Pak bite dust in second warm up tie
Cuttack, Jan 30 : Pakistan went down to Odisha XI by four wickets in their second warm-up tie for the eves World Cup at the Barabati stadium here today.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the touring side was bundled out for 154 (46.1 overs).
Defending a paltry target, the tourists bowled their heart out and tried to make a match of it, but the local side crossed the finishing line(155/6) in 48.5 overs.
Swagatika Rath was the chief architect of the local brigade's victory, scoring 51 runs from 73 balls.
Sadia Dhar picked up two wickets for Pakistan, while Sana Mir, Asmavia Iqbal, Sumaiya Siddiqi claimed one wicket apiece.
Earlier, Pakistan batting came a cropper as most of them looked all at sea against some quality bolwing from Odisha.
Openers--Nahida Khan and Sidra Ameen, who were dismissed cheaply in the first wram-up tie, failed to impress once again as they walked back in the hut scoring just 0 and one respectively.
Bismah Maroof top scored for the tourists with 44, while skipper Sana Mir(25) and Nain Abidi(29) chipped in with brief cameos.
Pakistan had won thier first wram-up match by 45-runs.
