Belgaum, Jan 30 : Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy today alleged that the ruling BJP government was insulting the democracy and constitutional posts.

Talking to newsperson here, he charged that the BJP government was misusing constitution and killing democracy in the state. "For the past two days, BJP's attitudes and activities had been amusing," he said.

He said election process begins in the state within two months and there will be no value for Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar's budget to be presented on February 8.

The BJP was a divided house, KJP leader and former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was trying to pull down the government, Mr Shettar and BJP leaders were trying to save the government, JD(S) is watching who will succeed in this game, he alleged.

Mr Kumaraswamy alleged that Speaker K J Bopaiah was unnecessarily delaying the acceptance of Yeddyurappa loyalists MLA's resignation yesterday.

He alleged that the Congress has failed to be a good Opposition party. The Congress party's padayatra was a failure and the party had failed to maintain communal harmony in the state.

Replying to a question, he said the JD(S) would not support Congress or BJP if there is clear majority in the next election. JD(S) is ready to sit in the opposition. However, there is no chance of a hung assembly, he said.
