Hyderabad, Jan 30 : Despite repeated appeals by the pro-telangana leaders not to take any extreme steps, a 21-year-old engineering student allegedly committed suicide for the cause of Telangana at his residence in Pavanpuri colony under Saroornagar police limits, here today.
According to police, the student N Dinesh Chandra, pursuing third year B Tech at Aurora college ,ended his life by hanging himself and left behind a suicide note purportedly stating that he was resorting to the extreme step for the cause of Telangana statehood.
In his suicide note, he also appealed to the TRS president K
Chandrasekhara Rao to achieve formation of Telangana State without calling for 'bandhs', as they were disrupting student education.
Before ending his life, Dinesh, who hails from Mahabubnagar
district, reportedly sent text messages to his relative and a friend that he was ending his life.
A case was registered by Saroornagar police and further investigations are underway.
