Srinagar, Jan 30 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to review the status of progress on reconstruction of Peer-e-Dastgeer Shrine at Khanyar in the down town city.
Chairing 17 meeting of Waqaf board here the Chief Minister received detailed account of construction work and other related aspects from the concerned agencies entrusted the recreation work of the Shrine.
Minister for Rural Development Ali Mohammad Sagar, Vice Chairman Muslim Waqaf Board, M Y Qadri, members of the board and officers from JKPCC and representatives of INTECH were present in the meeting.
The meeting also discussed expansion of the Shrine area to cater to the present and futuristic needs.
The two hundered year old shrine was gutted in a mysterious fire last year.
