'Martyrs village' set up for paying tributes to martyrs at Kumbh
Kumbh Nagar (Allahabad), Jan 30 : A separate village has sprung up in the Maha Kumbh to pay tribute to the martyrs, including soldiers.
This is for the first time in the Kumbh history that a 'martyrs' village' has been established at Sangam where martyrs are being remembered at religious congregations.
'Hawans' (special prayers) are being performed for the soldiers and those who laid down their lives in the Kargil War and other terror strikes. The kin of the deceased who lost their lives in the Mumbai terror attack on November 26, 2008, are here to offer tributes to them.
In sector nine, a 'yagyashala' has been set up and 30 huts have been prepared for performace of 'hawan' at the camp of Sri Balak Yogeshwar Dasji Maharaj. A team of pandits has also been called up from Varanasi for the purpose.
Besides, 16 tents have been erected, where tributes are being paid to Indian soldiers.
'What can be a better way of paying tributes to the martyrs than this,' asked Balak Yogeshwar Dasji Maharaj today.
