Four Bangladeshi nationals nabbed in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jan 30 : On specific inputs, BSF troops deployed along the border with Bangladesh nabbed four Bangladeshi nationals from two places yesterday.

BSF sources said here today that three Bangladeshis were nabbed from East Khasi Hills district while another was held in Jaintia Hills district while they were illegally infiltrating into Indian territory.

On January 28, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Lyngkhat Ex-108 Bn, deployed in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended 3 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants while they were trying to infiltrate.

Besides, BSF troops seized 4.5 kg Hemp, 14 cattle, 111 bottles of liquor and other contraband items of the estimated cost of Rs. 1.97 lakh during the past two days.

All the arrested persons along with the seized items had been handed over to authorities concerned for further disposal and legal action.
