Hyderabad, Jan 29 : Samaikyaanahdra activists today demanded the arrest of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao for making remarks against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during Samara Deeksa' yesterday

Demanding his arrest, the activists also alleged that KCR had made anti-national statements during the Samara Deeksha which concluded here last night

Condemning the TRS Chief's derogatory remarks against the Prime Minister during the Deeksha, PCC President Botcha Satyanarayana asked KCR whether he knew what the consequences would have been had the same statement been made in another country

"Just imagine what action would have been taken if the same remark against a Prime Minister of another country," Mr Botcha said

He questioned KCR as to how he could misuse the freedom of speech

The people of Andhra Pradesh knew how the state was formed and what were the circumstances that led to the formation of the state, he said, adding Andhra was formed purely for the sake of people and not for political gain

"It was at the behest of the people from all regions across the state that AP was formed," he said

KCR was misusing the freedom of speech, he alleged and demanded that KCR withdraw his remarks against Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh
