Kerala police to modernise: Minister

Kannur, Kerala Jan 29 : Around 229 trainees of the Kerala Armed Police (KAP) today passed out of KAP 1V Battalion at Mangattuparamaba after nine months of rigorous training. Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, after a guard of honour, said the police would continue with modernisation programme to equip themselves to protect the 3.5 crore people of Kerala

The policing and justice system must work without gender discrimination and take action against miscreants targetting women and children, he said

He also said the government was committed to creating a law for the protection of the women

He also assured the Home Department would give top priority to solve problems faced by the policemen
